3 Minute Thesis Competition
Dear everyone,
The Faculty of Medicine held the annual 3 Minute Thesis competition on Monday 26th 2018, with 14 brave PhD candidates presenting their projects in under 3 minutes! All of them did very well, engaging the audience with expressive deliveries, a range of gestures and clever metaphors.
We'd like to congratulate the winners:
**1st place**: Choy Ker Woon from the Dept of Pharmacology (supervised by Prof Rais and Dr Dharmani).
2nd place: Maziah Mat Rosli from the Dept of Physiology (supervised by Prof Dr Ruby Husain, Prof Dr Nazirah Hasnan, Prof Dr Glen Davies and Prof Dr Mark Halaki)
3rd place: Anne Yee from the Dept of Psychological Medicine (supervised by Prof Dr Ahmad Halim, Prof Dr Ng Chong Guan, A/P Dr Ong Teng Aik)
The winners each received a cash prize and special certificates, and all the participants received certs to acknowledge their participation in the competition.
Now Ker Woon will go on to compete at UM level on April 11th - we wish her all the very best!
To those who missed out this year, well..you have one year to practice as we look forward to next year's event!
Below is a group of photo of the participants, the judges and organising team.
Warm wishes,
FOM 3MT team, on behalf of Prof Dr Christopher Boey.
