A talk by Dr Fraser Cameron, Director of the EU-Asia Centre in Brussels • 1st June 2017 • ASEM Room, Asia-Europe Institute (AEI)
Dr Fraser Cameron, Director of the EU-Asia Centre in Brussels, will give a talk on "Prospects for the EU and EU-Asia relations" on Thursday, 1st June 2017 at 2:30 pm. The venue will be ASEM Room located at Asia-Europe Institute (AEI), University of Malaya.
Dr Cameron is a former British diplomat and EU official and has worked on EU affairs for the past 25 years. He did his undergraduate studies at the University of St Andrews and his PhD at Cambridge.
He is the author of several books and articles on the external relations of the EU and is a visiting professor at the universities of Georgetown, Cambridge, Hong Kong, Auckland and the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin.
His talk will cover the state of the EU following the election of Macron as President of France, the political and economic forces shaping the Union, the impact of Brexit, and how the EU is deepening its relations with Asia.
