Dr. Rahul Mishra participated in International Workshop entitled 'Taiwan’s New Southbound Policy in Comparative Perspectives'

Dr. Rahul Mishra, Senior Lecturer at Asia-Europe Institute, participated as a panelist in the International Workshop jointly hosted by the Institute of China Studies, University of Malaya, and Nanhua University, Taiwan on 18th January 2018. The title of the workshop was “Taiwan’s New Southbound Policy in Comparative Perspectives” in which seven panelists tried to put Taiwan’s new policy in wider regional context by analysing and comparing it with policies of other major stakeholders of the region.

Besides Dr. Rahul Mishra, the other 6 panelists were Associate Professor Dong-Ching Day (Nanhua University), Dr. Ma Bo (Nanjing University), Dr. Ngeow Chow-Bing (University of Malaya), Professor Zhang Yuanpeng (Jiangsu Academy of Social Science), Professor Wu-Ping Kwo (Nanhua University) and Dr. Hoo Chiew-Ping (National University of Malaya).

Professor Zhang Yu-Liang, Dean of the College of Social Sciences, Nanhua University and Dr Ngeow Chow Bing, Acting Director, Institute of China Studies, University of Malaya gave the welcoming speech.

During the workshop Dr. Rahul Mishra, presented a paper on India’s Act East Policy and Southeast Asia. Below are some pictures of the workshop.
