Physics Open Week (POW) 2025

The Department of Physics is pleased to invite all staff and student to participate in the upcoming Physics Open Week 2025 (POW2025), which will be held as follows:

About POW2025

Physics Open Week aims to showcase the diverse applications of physics through interactive and engaging activities. This year’s program will include:

• STEM Activities – Hands-on demonstrations and experiments to promote interest in physics.
• ELITE (Industrial Talk) – Invited speakers from various industries will share insights on company profiles, career opportunities, and applications of physics in real-world settings.
• FYP Lightning Pitch - Final-year students will inspire the audience with fast-paced, 3-minute presentations highlighting their research, and insights into the wonders of physics and science.
• Physics Assessment Showcase – A platform for students to demonstrate learning outcomes through innovative assessment formats.

Final-year students are compulsory to attend, while all other students and staff are strongly encouraged to participate and support the event.

Your presence and support will contribute greatly to the success of this departmental event.
