The Psoriatic Arthritis Patient Forum was successfully organised by the Rheumatology UM
team and it was held on 16th August 2025 at Dewan Sekapur Sirih, Universiti Malaya
Medical Centre. The event brought together a multidisciplinary team comprising
rheumatologists, a dermatologist, a sports medicine consultant, a pharmacist, an
occupational therapist, and a social welfare officer. The programme featured educational
talks to our hospital psoriasis patients and supporting staff on disease management,
treatment options, and available support systems, along with a patient sharing session that
provided valuable real-life perspectives. Interactive discussions encouraged active
engagement, enabling patients to address their concerns directly with specialists.
Information booths were also set up, including one on biologics injection education, another
by the Arthritis Foundation Malaysia, and a booth by QV which provided skin care education
and product samples. The event proved to be both informative and empowering for
patients, and was made possible through the generous support of Novartis and Johnson &
Johnson.
