Dr. Nur Suhaili Ramli is a Lecturer at the Department of Management, Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, Italy. She received her PhD in Management from the University of York, United Kingdom. She also has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Open University Malaysia as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Information Communication and Technology from the Universiti Teknologi Petronas. She has lived, worked, and studied in various countries such as Malaysia, New Zealand, Belgium, United States, the United Kingdom and Italy. With her expertise and experience in searching for funds and grants for researches, a seminar on Realising Opportunities, Partnerships and Collaborations (Funding, Postgraduate Programmes, Research Collaborations, Volunteer) was organized on September 20, 2018 at the Research Management and Innovation Complex, University of Malaya.
In the seminar Dr. Nur Suhaili firstly introduced herself briefly and shares her background from a Malaysian living in Malaysia to be living in Italy and serve as a lecturer at Ca’Foscari University of Venice. She then shares her information and understanding about a few funding programme offered by the EU and ways to apply and ‘grab’ the opportunity. Towards the end, she shares her very own journey and experiences in gaining funds for her Ph.D. It is a journey full of hardships and setbacks, but she endured it all. The seminar ended with few thoughtful and interesting questions from the audience. Overall, it was a wonderful and insightful seminar/sharing session that earn the participants greater knowledge on searching and gaining fund for their researches.
